For the last 25 years, Timothy A. Maxwell has been known as an innovator, a pioneer and a leader in the mortgage banking industry. He was the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bankers Mortgage Corporation, a mortgage banking company that, even in a depressed economy, lent millions of dollars to qualified home buyers. He currently serves as a Branch Manager for MLB Residential Lending headquartered in Springfield, NJ.

In his industry he is unique. It was his passion for innovation that drove him to formulate Bankers Mortgage Corporation in 2005. He wanted to offer the American public a new way to home ownership. Most lenders just pre-qualify their borrowers prior to their contracting to purchase a new home. This provides no guarantees that the prospective homebuyer will actually be approved. It is just one person’s good guess that often results in a financial hardship for the borrower. To Mr. Maxwell, that just wasn’t good enough! Purchasing or refinancing a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person can make in their lifetime. He was determined to provide a better solution. And he did. He personally hired, trained and equipped qualified individuals as Field Underwriters. He began his career in mortgage banking in 1989 and has made major contributions to the industry during that time. He is personally licensed to originate First and Second Mortgages in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has an extensive knowledge of residential lending programs that include FHA, VA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan programs. He previously served as President of Midstate Mortgage Corporation, Branch Manager for HCI Mortgage, and Sales Manager for NEWAY Financial Services. Prior to his career in mortgage banking, he served as a District Store Manager for R&S Strauss and had oversight of 13 stores in northern New Jersey.

Mr. Maxwell graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pace University. Despite his active lifestyle, he is what some might consider a consummate humanitarian. His love for God and People drives him as a teacher of Bible Education. Each year, for the last 23 years, he has volunteered hundreds of hours assisting others to come to an accurate knowledge of Bible Truth. At 1Timothy 2:3 it says that God’s is will is for all to come to an accurate knowledge of truth. To him, this is his greatest accomplishment and a work that he has dedicated his life to.
